Monument to Akhmatova to be revealed in St. Petersburg near poet`s museum
The monument to the poet Anna Akhmatova will be revealed on March 5, on the day of 40-th anniversary of the poet`s death, in the garden near Fontanny house, where her museum is located.
The monument, which is a gift from the director of "Isaaki cathedral" museum Nikolai Nagorsky, represents a piece of the wall with the image of one of the most famous poets of Silver Age of Russian poetry.
The inscription, engraved as a mirror image, contains the words from her poem "My shadow is on the walls of yours".
